placing objects in status bar

I need to place a progess bar and various captions (label) in the status bar of a VB style web browser component I am developing. I am having problems specifying that the progress bar container is my status bar, and how to 'divvy' the status bar into smaller sections (my fist time...)

anyone gotta chunk 'o code for my viewing?
