I have installed VS6 with service pack 5. I then installed MSDN (JAN2002), but not when VS asked me to (I couldn't find the cd's). Now when I try to find help on something I keep getting this message "The MSDN collection does not exist. Please reinstall MSDN." I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I still get the same error message. Any ideas???

This seems annoying to me as well.
Any one could help?

The October 2001 edition was the last one which integrates automatically into Visual Studio 6.0. Microsoft recommends that you use this release if you are using Visual Studio 6.0, and the newer ones if you are using Visual Studio .NET...

What if you need to be able to use both?

use the OCT2001 with VC6.0 and run the later MSDN editions outside of VC6.0. They invoke dexplore.exe so you can set up the later MSDN editions into a shortcut and pass the collection as a parameter to dexplore.exe.
