msflexgrid

I have set the msflexgrid to have 1 fixed row and column, and I need to be able to detect when I have clicked on the fixed cells and hightlighted an entire row or column so I can enable menu items. Does anyone know how to accomplish this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
