I have just completed three months of around the clock work on a VB 6.0 database application. I am struggling to compile and distribute it, though, and am encountering the following challenges: (Incidentally, because I have never had any luck with the P&D wizard, I opted for the far better Visual Studio Installer (ver 1.1)...
1. When I attempt to install it on a "clean" Windows NT 4.0 Workstatation, I get an ADOX error message and it fails to open. I have installed MDAC 2.5 (the app also includes MDAC.MSM which installs MSADO15.dll. Any ideas?
2. For command buttons, all of the forms in my application use a simple graphic with a label placed over top of them. In the non-compiled version, the light blue "button" graphic with a black-text label placed over it, looks and works great! However, after installation on a Win98 box from the Installer the once-blue buttons are now replaced with black (or very dark) flat spaces on the form. I can still click on the spaces and get the desired result (even though I can no longer actually see the labels). Have you any idea what might be causing this?
I need to get this bloody project finished and onto a CD TODAY, so it is really crunch time.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you might be able to offer.

Does this ever get any easier?
