Senior Software Engineer

This is a great opportunity for a creative individual who wants to work in a dynamic environment and be involved in both the design and implementation stages. The successful candidate will be responsible for the definition, design, and development of future versions of the company’s communications security products.

Job Functions:
Experience and Skills Requirements:
 Developing functional and design specifications.
 Making architectural, design, and performance trade-off decisions.
 Developing technical documentation.
 Coding, Unit testing, and Integration testing Windows and Kernel application systems.
 Developing and debugging embedded networking security software applications.
 Participating in code reviews.
 Reviewing and evaluating COTS products to support development.
 Keeping abreast of current communication networking security protocols (i.e., TCP/IP, IPSEC, SSL, PKI, etc.)
 Maintaining and enhancing existing Company network communication security applications.

Education Requirements:
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
 A minimum of 10 years of related software development experience.
 A minimum of 4 years of experience with multithreaded programming using C/C++, COM, and MFC on a Windows platform (e.g., NT, Windows 2000).
 A minimum of 5 years of experience with C and embedded system development.
 A minimum of 4 years of experience with C, C++ programming on a Unix or Linux platform.
 Hands-on experience in full-life cycle development of large and complex systems.
Preferential consideration will be given to candidates with:
 15 or more years of related software development experience.
 2 or more years of experience in NDIS drivers (miniports and/or protocol drivers) programming and development.
 Familiarity with network debugging tools (e.g., Scope, Analyzer, Sniffer, etc.).
 Knowledge of encryption and compressions standards.
 Experience with networking and communication security protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, IPSEC).
 Experience with Motorola and Intel Processors.
 Experience with Internet technologies (HTML, XML, JAVA, SMTP, POP3), and server-side programming experience.
 3 or more years of working experience with ORACLE or SQL Server DB design and programming.
 Demonstrated project leadership.
 Familiarity with kernel-mode programming and debuggers (e.g., Numega SoftICE) on a Windows platform.
 Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt new technologies, such as communications security and networking protocols, quickly and efficiently.
