Access Key vs Mouse

Hi everyone,

I noticed that invoking a command button's click event is faster when using a mouse or enter key when the command button default property is true. Using an access key associted with the command button to invoke the click event is rather slow and seems to change the mouse pointer to hour glass. Any ideas??
