Problem in executing FTP application

I have written one FTP application in VB by using XtFTP control and FileSystemObject. Basically I want to copy the files which are there in one system to the other system once in every hour. When I execute the application it runs very perfectly if a particular directory doesnot exists it will create that directory and uploads the files and checks for the sub-directories and it will perform its work. But when i create the Exe of that application and execute it is not creating the subfolders and it is simply uploading the files which is in the main directory. I am using the recursive function to search for if there is any subdirectories. That function is also running perfectly but when i create the Exe it is not running and more over it is creating the folders which some junk names like a , m , P, C etc., Please help me in coming solving this problem.
