Hi all,

Sorry in advance if this is not the right group to ask this question.

I have problem regarding internet explorer on winXP.
The problem is that I cannot see any buttons or status bars on IE.
The only thing I see is, when I start IE, is a search bar with home page as start page and nothing else to go forward.

Then I downloaded IE 6 and tried to run installation so that I get a new version but I got a message that there is IE already running on this machine, first remove this from control panel -> add/remove.
But when I open add/remove program window I don't see there IE.

Now my question is, is there any way I can get back buttons and bars on IE without needing to install new version av IE.
If I cann't get back original IE then how to remove IE so that I can install new one.
Hope I have explained my problem. Drop me a line if something is not clear.
thanks in advance
regards
