I have a copy of Vb .net Standard Edition and I am wondering if like when I first bought VB 6.0 Learning Edition I needed the professional version.
I also bough the Visual Basic .Net COMPLETE book (Sybex) to gain an In understanding of the changes from VB6 to VB .Net.
Where do I stand with respect to ADO.NET and in general Database Access (currently I am only interested is using MS Assecc Databases).
The examples in the book talk about the Server Explorer and SQL Server. But in short I can access and Access Databases with this edition, it this correct. I know that they are no VB6 Conversion Wizards in the Standard Edition, but what else is missing.
Also the documentation that comes with VB.Net is a bit pants.
What is in VB .Net Standard Edition?
