Report Designer

I have developed an application that uses both the Crystal Control (for my normal reports) and a Crystal Report Designer for repotrs that involve pictures. While in runtime, if I first open a designer report then go to a Crystal Control report everything works fine however, if I do about a dozen or so opening and closing of reports that use the Crystal Control then go to the Designer Report then any report I open after this fails. The Crystal Report fails in that the Action function cannot be performed by the Crystal Ctrl. The Design Report fails in that the CRViewer1.ReportSource = Nothing rather than CrystalReport1. I hope this makes sense. Any help would be appreciated.
