Is it possible to get an IP address from an e-mail address?

there is a Receive field in the original POP message, which might contains the ip, but the ip is for pop server, thus using the email itself, I doubt you can get the ip of the caller.

If the address is like somebody@microsoft.com you can ping www.microsoft.com and that will return an IP address.
