I want to get (thru programming) a listing of all switched on/connected computers in a networked environment so that sitting in one place I can monitor which systems are on .Please help me..

The answer I got was fantastic and I liked it much.Can you provide me the help of the various API's used in that program(parameters) as well a detailed discussion about various API'.Thanks for your help.

I want the listing of the only the active computers in the network.The problem now is that ,even if the computer is switched off, it remains in the list.I suggest some sort of periodic refreshing in the list.(Windows network neighbourhood program also has this same problem.
