hello all...i sure hope this is an easy one for somebody.

i've got this client that can't see a certain webpage...it's like this:

the common site: www.whatever.org she can see just fine.
the site: www.whatever.org/workingtest she can't see at all...it gives a 404 not found error. i've also tried http://www.whatever.org/workingtest & www.whatever.org/workingtest/default.asp

now here's the thing...i can see it...and 10-12 other people can see it using a variety of browsers and OS's.

i've gone through the settings on her browser...that seems to check out fine...and i've taken off the firewall through her dial-up to see if that was the problem...but that wasn't it either.

she's using XP and IE 6.0 (exactly what I have) and she cannot see this page.

i'm missing something easy aren't i?
thanks for any ideas!

probably has to do with settings in the browser you're missing, reset to the defaults. You could also send me the link (i'm running IE6 on win98se). I do a lot of work with web pages so i could probably figure it out.

also, i have a question, the computers you are using to look at this web page (the ones that can see it)....are they networked to the server in any way?

thanks for the advice waldo2k2...fortunately the situation was vindicated a few days back. when i took over for my client i had to switch her hosting so we could use ASP and actually do 'cool stuff', ...you know. anyway, turns out that even though the dns changes went through and everything weeks ago...because she was still using them as an ISP as well, they had to change some settings on their end (which i never heard of and can't remember unfortunately).

so that's answer to the problem.

word.
