"Testing Area" being moderated? Much more by 3 persons? Isn't this a bit weird since this area is supposed to contain insignificant entries only? :D
By the way, congrats Yves. I just noticed today (Oct 23, 2002) you have become a moderator.

Thanks :) I only became a moderator today actually ;)
Well, why is the testing area moderated ? It's a good testbed for moderators as well ;) People would start getting upset if I just randomly moved around, closed etc. threads on the non-visual C++ forum :p

Oh yeah, by the way I voted the same as you :p

That makes three of us voting the same. And this explains also why I just noticed today you became a moderator. You already scared the crap out of Xeon editing one of his posts. Tell me, can you also see someones private messages? I hope not and it should not.
'****You mean I can do this??!!!*************
This is incredible! we must be really disciplinated...

I don't know, I haven't tried reading your private messages yet :p
No seriously, the things a moderator can and should do are pretty limited, the most serious things are for the administrator, i.e. Brad.
So we can edit / delete / move / merge / split / close / reopen posts and see the IP adresses of people who post.
The function of a moderator is simply to ensure that the discussions remain cordial and helpful and prevent pollution (like multiple or cross-postings).

A testing discussion?
galathaea taps microphone
I would hate to get off point in this discussion with so many moderators watching...
galathaea puts the microphone down
galathaea looks around suspiciously
eeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

Uhh... sorry. Left the mike on. D*rn feedback.
Umm, I had a question.
Does famous = talkative?

Congratulazioni ugualmente Cesare.:)
VB men and women are not orphans anymore. That makes the world a little fairer. Could you imagine "Testing Area" with 3 moderators and none for "VB"? :p :p :p

Speaking of powers Cesare/Yves, are moderators able to see if the post from 2 different names came from the same computer? Example, I will signed up again as Mario. Then, start a conversation between "Aio" and "Mario", would you be able to know at least that they came from the same computer?

Yes, that is one of our magical powers :)

But on a certain forum only where you moderate? Example, you can't do it in VB since you're not moderating VB -- same as Cesare can't do it in VC++?

If I have the suspicion that two accounts belong to one and the same person and that he/she 'talks to herself' just for the sake of posting, then it's not hard to find that out, regardless in which forum this happens.
