How do I list applications on a machine using perl modules?

Hi all,
I am trying to write a Perl script which lists all the applicaitons I have on my computer. I already have a list of all the .exe files on my computer in a .txt file. Also, I have to use different perl modules ( or .sad file ) for each applicaion, so that if I add a new application I can just write a new module ( or .sad file ) for that application. Could someone please help me here? I appriciate any help.
