Does anyone have any experience using the WISE Installer? My company recently purchased a copy of this program and we run into this problem on all tested computers:
OS: Windows 98SE
The installer will update the Windows Installer first and then the system is rebooted. Then the installer proceeds to install our application and reboot again. After this 2nd reboot the system will blue-screen after login and Windows had to be reinstalled.
We found a copy of the Windows Installer program in our MSDN collection and if we manually update the Windows Installer and then run the WISE install of our application it will work fine.
Is there any known solution to get the WISE installation to update the Installer correctly?
We are also contacting the not-so-wise people at WISE for further assistance but thought I'd give it a shot on here as well.
