Detecting VB event in c-coded DLL

Is ther any way to detect VB events(for example, button click) in c-coded DLL?
VB program calls c-coded DLL procedure.
Can not detect button click event until DLL function is terminated.
How can detect VB event even in running DLL?
Could anyone who know it let me know the way?
