An applet only runs in a browser. You navigate the browser to the URL for the page containing the applet. How would this work from the taskbar?

If you are asking how do you set up a taskbar icon to run a browser with a particular URL pre-defined (other than the home page), I don't know. Maybe if you asked the question in those terms, someone else could help.
