Hi, everybody!

As I said in another thread a few days ago, me and my colleagues were fired from this company. I was still working here, until March, so I had plenty of time to visit the forum.

Well, things have changed this morning. Somebody called me from another company telling me that they wanted to hire me. I have accepted and now I have to finish my ActiveX project in two weeks time (otherwise I won't be hired, they need me to be already an engineer by February 24th, and for that I need to finish the project). So, I'm leaving my current job today and I won't be able to post as frequently as these last weeks. It's a shame, but I'm very happy because of receiving such a good job offer. :)

I just wanted to say good-bye to this forum. Maybe you'll see me in the Visual C++ forum with some heart-attacking problem in the next two weeks. But I won't be posting more questions or answers or talking about European politics.

It has been very, very nice to be here and to have met all of you. I'll keep on reading this forum's threads when I have some free time.

Thanks for so many amusing mornings!
Best wishes,
Ana. :)

Ana,

good luck for finishing your project and for the new job. I am glad that you got a good offer and I hope you will be pleased with it.

Don't worry if you cannot post for a few weeks, we don't forget people that easy ;)

Godd luck!

Hello Ana,

Good luck with your new job and I hope you don't come here any more, as when I hoped otherwise I would be wishing you all sorts of programming problems. Nah, just kidding. :D I hope to see you back here.

Kind regards,

Simon.

Yes, Ana! Gabriel is right!

And oh. U can still visit this forum, actually.

In other words, follow what Irona and Marina do during work time sometimes.

In Irona's case, when her boss ain't watchin', she downloads heavy metal music on her company's blazingly fast statellite Internet connection running on the fastest and wildest servers with OC-192 telephone lines.
This way, she saves her Internet bills, have fun and optimizes her time.
Very cool, Ana. :)

As for Marina, she downloads all kinda pictures during working time on her company's multiple server powerhouses with industry standard servers running on OC-96 phone lines each.

This is also very darn cool, and like Irona, she visits CodeGuru during her work-time, while downloading files in the background.

This is what we call "maximum time optimizing and productivity fine-tuning".

Need I say more??!!(tm)

Nah! It depends! If the boss(es) have spyware or cameras and such, of course I wouldn't.

But if they didn't, I'm really gonna make the most outta my time.
Sharpening your fingernails and cleaning your spectacles is also really time-optimizing. :):D:D:D:D

You can also do some energy enhancing activities. Just display one of your codes in the code window. Then open both palms of your hands to support your head through your chin. Then stare at your code with your dark sunglasses. :D :D

Just make sure you don't create that nasty sound you do when you're asleep. :D :D

Very nice idea from our friend here, AIO.

This is what we time-management experts termed as 'regaining lost energy'.
This will really help to refresh your mind, wits, intelligence and memory so that you can be better in the games you play later on during work. In other words, play better, play smarter.

Another further tip is to remember to decrease the brightness of the monitor so that they don't hurt your eyes with too much brightness. This will ensure a smoother sleep and dreams session.

Also, when you're surfing for videos or pictures or music etc., remember to have only 2 windows(one is your choice, the other is a code window or some serious work-related chore) in the taskbar.

When your boss comes round, simply press Left Alt + Tab and you're already staring at the code window before you can say 1.
Using the mouse to hide and switch windows is much slower.

But u need at least a 280 MHz + 32 MB SDRAM PC for this trick to work, otherwise even switching on the keyboard can also be kinda slow.

Me and my team of time-management experts are investigating a program that can make and stimulate keyboard(key pressing) sounds that are heard when you type on the keyboard.

This is to give your boss the impression that u're typing code.
