I am using Crystal Reports for printing data on to a continous rolling papers.

But the printing is very very slow.
But, I do find that DOS based print for example
dir > prn works very fastly,

Why not this Crystal Report print faster?

Any gurus, please help

I think this is because DOS writes directly to the printer, whereas in Windows, the program writes to a print queues, which is then written to the printer.
Also, check the quality you are printing. If you are printing in high quality, it may result in the printer writing 2 or 3 times as slow.

How can I make this still faster?
The printout has a gap of 1 line space between each page(I am using continous papers)
