Anybody know of a good communications program that also happens to be freeware? Haven't had to use serial communications for a while and probably should have saved some software. I will be doing direct communications to COM1, with both Windows 98 and Windows 2000 and maybe XP in the near future.

Hyperterminal is short a few things:

1 Scripting to my knowledge.

2 displaying Ascii Code eg: <ETX><STX> (or even hex codes would be good)

3 Raw Data transfer capability.

Any Ideas?

Thanks,
ahoodin

I suppose, you had asked this question elsewhere too ?

Well,

Thank you for the reply. I have since found a package. Better late than never. Not like you knew the post was here before. Not alot of eager beavers out there...but then again they are just my problems...and I make my own bed with a little help from my employer.

thanks again for your reply.
