MSDOS system with Pentium Motherboard

Hi,

I'm doing a testing at the moment with the configuration mentioned above : MSDOS system (not Windows) with a Pentium Motherboard (used to be 486 processor).

I realised that some of my older programs that uses the serial port is no longer working.

Any one has any idea on what's the main problem with this configuration?
