I have an existing Access 2000 system - split into a front and backend.

The disc on which the backend used to be, became full and was replaced by a SNAP drive. Now, the backend has a Hyperlink field which is setup to the corresponding hard drives name (File...Properties....Hyperlink Base) When the data was on the OLD drive, double clicking on the hyperling field (which contains *.tif files) would result in Windows imagining opening it.

Now that the data has moved, double clicking it, results in Explorer searching for it. (Right clicking on the Hyperlink field opens up a properties window....edit Hyperlink...) the second Text box from the top would always, by default, carry the name of the file to be openend. Now, on the new drive, it doesn't.

The old drive used to have NTFS file system, the new one FAT. Could this cause any descrepancy?

Thanks. Any advice would help
