how to 'embed' files inside an EXE file?

Hello there,
I knew many applications emerge as a single EXE file, but they actually contain other resources inside (EXE file, DLL file, etc...) and those 'embeded' files will be extracted and excuted only when the main file runs. Who knows that 'technique' please tell me. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

May be this:
There is a software called "fusion" that can "embed" all needed dll in your exe.
You may try with that.

but it is not free: you will have to pay for it
