Hi there,
My web application uses a form, the user has to fill. By clicking on SUBMIT. The form values are prepared for sending an email with the <a href-tag> and "mailto:".
Unfortunatelly the href-value in IE5.x cannot contain more than 2000 characters. The standard email client (outlook) is not started, while following this mailto-link. With Netscape Navigator 4.x and Natscape Messager this works fine, even if the href-string exceeds 2000 and mor chars.
Is this a bug in Microsoft IE, Outlook, MAPI or soemthing else? Is there a bugfix to fix this problem?
