I have successfully written Addins for the VB IDE but now I am am doing something different and I cannot figure out how to get a reference to the VBIDE.VBE from an external program. Any thots?

Any thots? Cakkie October 17th, 2001, 02:01 AM I've been looking for that for a long time, but I'm affraid this just isn't possible. The VBEIDE.VBE cannot be created, this is because M$ made the component public non-creatable. The reason why you can use it in an Add-In, is because the VBE is already running, and will pass a refference to itself to the Add-in.
