UI cut off if font size is reduced to 75%

Hi,

I have developed a UI which works on Win9x, NT, 2K and XP. The UI show up correctly if the font size is 100%. If I decrease the font size to 75% through Display Properties/Settings/Advanced, the UI gets cut off, and losses the right and lower sides of the tabs and also looses the scroll bar on the right and lower side. Please help.

With 75% size I suppose you are talking about the font dpi.

When you change the font dpi all elements in your UI which depends directly or indirectly on a font will be changed.

For example, the title bar, menu.. will be affected by the font change. (at 75% should be smaller)

Maybe your scroll bars and other elements deppends on the font and this is the cause why they have changed. But is very difficult to know without seeing your UI at 100% and 75%

I Suggest The Followings:

1) Rebuild Your UI While Your Display is 75%.

or

2) Do Extra Coding To Maintain The Size Ratio Depeneding On Display Percentage.


No. 1 is easy to do and will take less time.
No. 2 is hard to do and will take much more time cause you will have test at different display with different size ratio.
