server.exe (urgent please!!)

hi.I have an online support project which is coded with visual basic 6.0 and winsocket.myserv.exe is a normal executable file and has to be run on server.my problem is not about coding.our server is windows2003 and it is not in our office.so I connect it via remote connection and run myserv.exe.the program is running fine on server.but when you log off windows server(close remote connection) ,myserv.exe shuts down.how can I prevent this?

Log off? Does the server shutdown if you close the connection to myserv.exe or if you log off remotly from the server machine?
