how can i tell wether or not the shift key, or any other key is being held down. And thus, when it is let go, somethign will happen.

the Shift argument of the keydown event tells you if Alt, Ctrl or Shift are also pressed.
You can also call the GetkeyState API.

im usign the getkeystate to determine if the shift key was pressed.. now what code would i use to determine if the shift key was only pressed and let go, or is still beign held down?
