Swing classes

This is so stupid, its embarassing to have to post it.

I have Microsoft J++ 6.0 (service pack 3). I am trying to use a swing class (JOptionPane) to display an error message.
J++ says there is an error in the import statement: import javax.swing.*;
and gives the error message: undefined package 'javax' (J0051)

Has anyone run into this, or know how to fix it.

Well, I haven't used MS J++ and don't know if it support JDK1.2 coding. If u r sure ignore this post.

If u r also not sure, check it. Because only in JDK1.2 swing is called 'javax.swing'. It was 'com.sun.java.swing' in JDK1.1

And when I had used MS J++ (don't know version), it supported JDK1.1

I've been unable to determine exactly what Microsoft's visual j++ 6.0 actually supports.
I've been to there web site, and I was unable to find any information at all specifying exactly what version
of java it supports.

Does anyone know if it fully supports java 2.0?
Does it support swing classes or did Microsoft leave them out, expecting people to use their WFC classes?
