java application doing ftp-upload?

I want to use Java to connect to a ftp-server and upload a file. Or create a file. The problem
is also, how do I set login/password for the ftp-server? Anyone?

hi,
u can do this with the openStream(...) method. i donot exaclty remember the various forms of this method. u can get a detailed pic of this from sun's documentation. or u can also checkout the tutorial at java.sun.com
