how do i get the difference between the dates ? ie. 31-12-1997 and 01-01-1998 then the difference should be 1 day !!
If any one can help me out ? Please Its an urgency !!!

What u can do is get the time in milliseconds of the two dates get the difference. Then u can either do calculation of number of days or u can give it to Date/Calendar class.
