prob using Plug-in

I think I might have a problem when Iam running applets, which use the Java Plug-in. When I terminate the browser (IE5), while the applet is running, an IE process still exists (and I have to manually kill the process)!
This problem occurs only when the browser runs an 'Plug-in-supported' applet.
Any suggestions ?
