security exception

hello,

I'm trying to test an applet that accesses a database. I using Internet Explorer 4. At the moment, everything is on my machine, and I need my IP address for the JDBC driver. When I try to run the applet, I get

com.ms.security.SecurityExceptionEx[cannot access <IP address>]

I've tried using 'localhost' but get the same response.

What security measures do I need to set ?
