Hiding items in the Windows Task Manager?

Hi. Can anyone recommend a way of hiding an item from appearing in the Windows Task Manager? I have 3 frames that appear in the task bar when I really just want 1 item. I know that having it as dialogues would fix the problem, but there is way too much historical code to rewrite. Can someone recommend a way to hide items from the Task Bar?
