Hi,
We likely have a part time (starting approx 10 hours a week) web programming position opening up at JWCS.NET Ltd. The job would be conducted over the net (e.g. at a location of your choice and using your own net connection/computer/software) and you would be working as a contractor on a fixed monthly salary. Opportunities for more hours (and thus money) are likely provided you perform well.
You need to be strong in Perl programming, as this is the principal language that we devleop in. Knowledge of working with SQL to query relational databases is also essential, and experience with MySQL (the database we use) a bonus. You should also be familiar with and able to work in PHP, as we sometimes run into existing systems already developed in PHP and need to modify and extend them. Familiarity with HTML and basic CSS is needed too. Optional things that would increase your chances of success include knowledge of JavaScript and Linux/UNIX environments.
Large amounts of working experience are not required (e.g. this position is as open to entry level programmers as experienced ones), but you must be able to demonstrate your ability in the required areas. An interview, conducted over MSN or ICQ, will partly test your ability to do so; you should also be able to give a number of examples of previous work.
Application form here:-
http://www.jwcs.net/download/JWCS_EAF.doc
Attaching a resume with it is highly recommended.
Please email your application form and any other docs to both jonathan@jwcs.net and spiro@jwcs.net.
Thanks,
Jonathan
