I really don't know how to get stated on this. I am just getting started with java and I am attempting to write a guest book applet that will Write the information input from a user to either a text file or as a record to a DataBase. I don't know weather I should uses some sort of middleware to connect to a DB or if I can just use a server class. If anyone can provide me with some guidence to were I should start I would be most thankfull.
