Remote Access to shared folder

Hi everyone. I want to access a remote directory (which is shared), under win2000. Can I do this using simply the Win. Explorer (e.g. using the ip address?).

There must be a file sharing protocol enabled to access a folder from another computer. The best way is to use a FTP server and connect to the server from the other PC.
