HELP ME : Can VB5 read data from PARALLEL PORT ?

I have made a hardware that send the data to PC using Parallel Port (4 bit of data). But I don't know how to read that data using VB5.

My objective is to read that bits (4 bit of data) and read it as a ASCII code.

Please help me ! Thank you
