Audio functions

Hello,

I want to be able to capture audio from CD and store it in a buffer. Does anybody know of any functions available that would allow me to do this?

I've tried using the mci functions and they are not what I'm looking for.

I would check out SDL. They have a library that is called SDL_mixer that can do this. http://www.libsdl.org
