Guys
I would like to create a web site using ASP.Net for my friend. I would like to have my own website too.I have vs 2005 standard edition. do you guys think I can build a website for my friend and also for me with the same VS 2005 standard or do i need to buy VS professional edition. your opinions are greatly appreciated. thnx.

Developing websites can be both complicated and uncomplicated - at the end of the day, it depends on the complexity of your website and what you want to do on your website. You may not even need to do the website in ASP.NET, as I've said it depends on the compexity of the site.
If you just want to do a simple staright forward website, why not consider FrontPage or DreamWeaver, because in my opinion, that would be the most obvious choice.
If, however, you want to create something complicated like including databases etc. in your website ASP.NET would be a better choice.

its just going to be a static web page as for as my friend's website is concerned.
I would like to do it with asp.net.My question is can I use VS 2005 to create both the websites? Can i do it as a profession with the standard edition or do i have to have the professional edition to do it professionally?
