good luck on finding free servlet hosting!!! most hosting services are charging a lot of money for that service...good for them bad for learning programmers who'd like to put there skills to te real test......... If you should find any free servlet hosting , or even affordable hosting let me know......

There is free servlet hosting at webappcabaret.com, and one or two other places mentioned on servlets.com. The catch at webappcabaret is that they inserts ads into the return stream, but so far they're not too obnoxious.
