Mike Harnad May 30th, 2006, 08:45 AM First, a question...Why are you editing the registry to change the theme? Is your code reliant on a specific theme? QBasicer May 31st, 2006, 05:11 AM What happens is the user picks whether they want classic or luna (or some other custom theme if their computer supports it). It saves this to a USB Drive. When they get to the next computer, if it's XP it loads all their colours, backgrounds, themes, etc. Mike Harnad June 1st, 2006, 10:24 AM I think you need to use desk.cpl (http://vlaurie.com/computers2/Articles/control.htm) and control.exe (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;135068) . QBasicer June 3rd, 2006, 08:35 PM That just looks like displaying the promt for the users to input. I'd like to know the commands that the display applet uses to apply the new theme, I assume the write to the registry, and then make some obscure system call that I don't know. Of course, I could be wrong too. codeguru.com
