I have a problem when I open a project and add components It give me error stating that the Class id not registered and memory reference in hexadecimal numbers Vb wont list out the components.
I work on Windows NT workstation as an operating, VB5 Enterprise Edition and I use third party Sheridan Activex Controls I had noticed one thing this happened after I install Microsoft Outlook.
I had no other option I uninstall Visual basic and try to install VB again after rebooting the machine. While setup was it gave me error stating that "Setup cant remove Vbsetup.ini" and it gave me an option of Abort, Retry & Ignore When I ignore it another message stating that Setup cant remove Vbaddin.ini I continue with the setup I was able to install VB But the same error comes up When i Add components " Class ID not registered"
This time I unistall VB and I try to remove the VBaddin.ini & vbsetup.ini in the winnt directory IT gives me an error stating that " Access denied " regardless of I logged in as Administrator.
last option was uninstalling the sheridan controls Then also it didnt work.
