I have generated various reports using Crystal Reports 7.0. Now, without changing the design and the fields for the reports, I want to change the DSN, so that I can access another similar database.

Can I change the DSN without re-designing the crystal reports. Any suggestions are welcome.

Go to the Set Location option in your Crystal reports report - inside database submenu - then select one table in your report and click on set location, it will ask you to connect to your database, do it and choose Logon server to have your new dsn.. after login choose the equivalent table of your old one and OK..it will ask you to propagate the changes, answer yes and you are done..

Just remember that your new server must have the same tables/registers or you will lose the format..

Hope it helps!

Hello,

Thanks for ur response. Now that, I figured out how to change the DSN, can you tell me how to print the chart alone? when I open the report in vb, I get the chart along with the data. Is there any way to open the chart alone, and format it properly into the page.

Print your chart? - sorry dont know too much english- but if it's a graph what you want to print then you can hide the data sections in the format section option. Just right-click in the left zone of the section you want to format and select hide section... maybe you could send me the report to undesrtand you, im using crystal reporst 6.02. You can send me a mail to habus@hotmail.com..

Laters and luck!
