convert Image to xml format

I just wanted to know that is it possible to store images to xml format?

There is no realy way to store an actual image as XML (yet). Generally people use xml to store information about an image like where its located on disk, the size, resolution and type of the image.

That being said it appears that some groups are working on an XML image standard format however i do not know very much about it or even if it ACTUALLY stores images in xml format. But you can read about it here.
