Database Replication - How does it work for you?

Not exactly a VB issue but I don't know where else to post this.

I am designing an application for a multi-location health care organization. Each of 4 remote locations will generate small transaction volumes, no more than 50 per day. Dial up connections will be used once per day to synchronize with home database. Conflicts needing arbitration will be rare - or never.

I need to specify the DBMS. We routinely use Access (Jet), SQL Server 7.0 and MSDE. Can you share any real world replication experience with any of them?

I have used SQL Server 7.0 to replicate data around the country to replicate databases containing millions of records with more than 10,000 updates/inserts per day. I used the replication to publish or subscribe databases. 7.0 was a great leap over 6.5 when it came to replication. Scheduling updates are more flexible with 7.0 and also the type of update is better. That is what I use.
