Remote Server writing file to Client

I want to have a remote server program (DCOM) be able to write a file to a location supplied by the client even if the location is located on the client itself. What system functions, techniques, etc. are there that allows the remote server to write back to the client. What would be the syntax for the path back to the client that the remote problem would use (client_drive\folder_path....).
