DCOM

I have a problem accessing the com component over the network using DCOM technology. I have two computers one is server. The component is on the server. The other is a client. The client calls the server and server sends some data. This is working but only when i logg on the server from the client as a administrator. When i logg as a different user i cannot access the server component. I get a message saying error no 70. Permission denied. The platform is Visual BASIC 6.

You don't have the Object on the remote box set to anonymous access.. Open DCOMCNFG.exe and on your object you need to set those settings..
