rotating controls

I am wondering if anyone knows how to create a rotating control (much like a volume control on a stereo). I would like my users to be able to use the mouse to turn the control clockwise or counter-clockwise. Any suggestions on how to do this or if someone knows of a library that contains this code?

A sample I found on MSDN called FWTEST has one.

That code is kind of old and the last time I played with it I couldn't
get it to run so it might take some work but the screen shot shows
an oscilloscope display with knobs and switches.
